Venice, Isola di San Giorgio Maggiore

The drawing shows the Benedictine church built in the 16 century. The first church was built on the island around 790 followed in 982 by a monastery, but in 1223, all the buildings were destroyed by an earthquake. The bell tower, first built in 1467 fell down in 1774 and was rebuilt in a new neo-classical style.
