The Staithes Waterfront at Low Tide, Yorkshire A5 Print

Staithes lies in the hollow between two high cliffs, one of which is shown in the background of this drawing. The town was home to the young James Cook (later Captain Cook) and also was a large fishing centre up to the end of the 20 century. It is now a magnet for tourists, artists and geologists.
